We are holding a silent auction for our Hospitality Box at Newcastle Races on Northumberland Plate Day (29th June 2019) in aid of children’s charity Wellchild.

The Northumberland Plate (commonly referred to as ‘The Pitman’s Derby) is Newcastle Racecourse’s most prestigious race and is part of a great day’s racing that always attracts a bumper crowd.

Wellchild is a national children’s charity that provides nursing, practical and emotional support making it possible for many young people with exceptional health care needs to be cared for at home instead of hospital. More information here: Wellchild

The winning bidder will have access to our hospitality box with great access to and superb views of the finishing line and parade ring, we’ll throw in lunch for 16 guests and contribute £500 towards your drinks bill.

Please email your bid or subsequent follow-up bids to charitybid@vertem.co.uk. The highest bid at 4pm on Friday 14th June 2019 will be the winner. We will tweet each morning with the current highest bid and each hour during the final day.

We will request that the winning bidder proves they have made the relevant donation to Wellchild by Tuesday 18th June 2019 and we reserve the right to offer the box to another bidder if otherwise.
